The European Parliament accepts Junker Commission

This morning, in a Plenary session in Strasbourg, the European Parliament has approved the new European Commission composed of 28 Commissioners with the new President Jean-Claude Junker at it’s head. (Results 423 votes in favour, 209 against and 67 abstentions) The new Commission is planned to start it’s mandate on the 1st November 2014 for a five-year term.
